Warburg Senior Boys Golf Team Wins 1st Banner

The Warburg Senior Boys Golf Team won the North Central Alberta Schools' Athletic Association Zone 1A Tournament in Westlock on Monday, September 19th.
Under very trying wind conditions, the team strategically and skillfully executed four strong rounds of golf to win their division of the tournament. In the overall tournament results, against much larger schools, they finished in second place a few strokes behind Jasper High School who won the 2A level of the competition.
Winning the school's first banner in golf are Cody Davis, Alex Krieger, Coltan Sarvas and Tyon Tomaszeski. Warburg School Principal Howard Rasmusson served as coach.
Alex Krieger was tied in second place for overall low score of the tournament. After beating out heavily ranked golf towns, their winning  is made more amazing since Warburg does not have a golf course. Most members learned to play in a field, on the school grounds, or on neighboring community courses.
    Well done boys!
