Taking Part in What’s Yours

Chris is engrossed in his role in The Dangers of VD, (Valentines Day)

Each week the Pipestone Flyer team comprised of writers, editors, publishers, layout artists, ad designers, sales people, printer and book keepers strive to bring you the latest in our community. That is because they are part of the community. They also give back to the community.
Chris McKerracher, a Pipestone Flyer columnist residing in Calmar has played a ‘lead’role with the theatrical group, the Calmar Prairie Players since 2005.  Recently during Calmar Mega Days, the group performed the teaser trailer - Act I of a 3 act play that will be performed in May of 2013. Chris wrote the play and was a lead actor in the ‘Dangers of VD (Valentines Day)’
Although modest about his accomplishments and quick to describe “the team effort and the community support”, the play "The 1984 Dalmar Biker War" received a professional review from Dan St. Yves', a Calgary theatre critic that normally reviews the Stage West shows in that city. The 45 minute interview following the show is Mr. St. Yves second most downloaded podcast.
Calmar can be grateful to Chris and the Calmar Prairie Players for years of great entertainment offered in this small rural town. His response, “The support and encouragement we receive from our fellow townsfolk is heartening."
