Brad Johner and sons Lucas, age 19 and Quinn, age 14 came to a sold out dinner theatre at the Warburg Cultural Centre on September 29 to celebrate Alberta Cultural Days.
Brad Johner continues his hot streak of his 3rd solo album, “Lookin’ at You”.
One of Saskatchewan’s most awarded and respected artists on the national stage, Johner has enjoyed over two decades of success as both a group and solo artist.  He is the 2007 Canadian Country Music Assoc. Male Artist of the Year, and a four-time Juno nominee.
Brad is a family man who has produced some incredible talent in his 5 sons.  He now includes them in concert. With their flexibility in performing various genres, it takes the show to a new level and to a new generation.
What a treat to have Brad on stage with his boys. They were fun, funny, personal, engaging, and good looking! What an awesome evening! The ambiance was breathtaking with over 50 pumpkins and a live tree with leaves blowing down-creatively designed by Peggy Sue Cropley and Linda McLaughlin.
Kasia Catering served an incredible meal to 120 people from Warburg, Breton, Thorsby, Calmar, and Pigeon Lake area. Corey Lawrence from Lawrence Auctioneering performed his magic and the Cultural Centre raised $3300 towards their kitchen renovations.
“With the money raised in the past, and with the funds from the casino night in December, we hope to renovate our kitchen so it meets the safety standards and is approved by the Health Inspector,” says Cultural Centre Executive Director Carol Rempel.
The Warburg Cultural Centre is in the heart of the Village and creates a home for the arts in the community. The next function open to the public is the Art Gala and Quilt show and sale on November 15 where artists display their work free of charge. It is a wine and cheese event, including a showcase of local artists and quilters.
Comedian Jody Peters, who has appeared on Just for Laughs, will be featured at the Warburg Community Christmas Party on December 15. Please book now to avoid disappointment. See us on Facebook for upcoming events or phone Carol @ (780) 848-7787 for more information.
