Drug Investigation Results In Seven Persons Charged
The Wetaskiwin RCMP, in conjunction with Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT), have just concluded a two week long drug investigation, aimed at identifying and prosecuting those responsible for street level drug trafficking in Wetaskiwin and Hobbema.
Two search warrants were also executed in Wetaskiwin as a result of the investigation resulting in the seizure of approximately 1100 tablets of MDMA (Ecstacy), smaller amounts of cocaine, methamphetamine, marihuana and a large quantity of cash.
A total of seven people were charged with a total of 21 offences, these persons included;
Claude Johnson, age 23 - 2 charges for trafficking MDMA, 1 charge for possession of MDMA for the purpose of trafficking, 1 charge for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, 1 charge for possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, 2 charges for possession of marihuana for the purpose of trafficking and 2 charges for breaching a recognizance.
Dino Makris, age 40 - 1 charge for trafficking cocaine and 4 charges for breaching a recognizance.
Dale Kemp, age 20 - 1 charge for trafficking cocaine and 1 charge for breaching his probation.
Sabrina Moonias, age 33 - 1 charge for trafficking cocaine.
Nathaniel Osha, age 26 - 2 charges for trafficking cocaine.
Daniel Miller, age 22 - 1 charge for trafficking marihuana.
Jessica Minde, age 19 - 1 charge for breaching an undertaking.
The Wetaskiwin RCMP are still attempting to locate and charge one more individual for trafficking cocaine.
