Awards of Distinction for Outstanding Citizens

Vol 15, Issue 2, Leduc - Wetaskiwin Pipestone Flyer

There are people out there, in the workforce, in the neighbourhood, in the community, who deserve to be recognized for their excellence in character.  The people who make being kind and considerate toward others a regular part of their day.  They ask nothing in return, but never fail in going the extra mile to help another.  Do you know someone who deserves to be acknowledged for their contribution to the community, and therefore society?

Between January 6 and February 19, the Leduc and District Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for outstanding, deserving individuals in the following categories:
- Business of the Year
- Farm Business of the Year
- Citizen of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Service Excellence
The Annual Awards of Distinction gala will take place at the Executive Royal Inn on February 19.  Recipients will receive their Awards of Distinction during a five-course dinner.  The evening is planned around a Mardi Gras theme and will include a silent auction.  Tickets to the Awards night are available at the Chamber office at 6420-50 Street in Leduc.
Funded via annual membership fees and fundraising activities, the Leduc and District Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization of dedicated members working together to improve the business community in the local and surrounding area.
To nominate someone for an Award of Distinction, call the Chamber at 780-986-5454.
