Giving Back

Anita Thorburn, Manager of Nutter’s  Wetaskiwin, and Patricia Smith, Assistant Manager of Nutter’s Leduc, hold three cheques that will be donated to Neighbour Outreach Wetaskiwin, The Salvation Army and The Wetaskiwin Public Library and in Leduc, the Leduc Food Bank, Leduc Boys and Girls Club and the Leduc Public Library.. The money for these donations was raised through Nutter’s annual “Jesus Is The Reason For The Season” buttons and the “Chip In Program”. The Jesus is the Reason buttons are sold each Christmas and are $2.00 each. All proceeds from these buttons are donated to the local charities.
The Chip In Program is ongoing at Nutter’s. When you bring in your own reusable bag Nutter’s saves the cost of using one of their bags. In turn the $0.05 that is saved by Nutter’s is given to a charity. Nutter’s picks the charities in their area and the customer decides out of those organizations where they would like their Chip In donations to go. “With the help of our customers we can make a difference in our community,”
