Coal Lake Light Horse 4-H report

Hope everyone is having a great 2014 so far!
We had our general meeting on the 6th of January. We redid our constitution and voted on the changes. We discussed our public speaking and other various events coming up. It was a great meeting!
This month we had our Christmas party on the 10th of January. We went skiing at the Gwynne Ski Hill. Everyone had a great time.  A few even went snow shoeing while the rest of us skied and snowboarded. It was a blast!
On the 12th of January we had our first ride of this month and also of this year. In my group we did serpentines at a walk and trot. Some of us did some cantering. We also did a pattern both ways. It was a great ride.
On the 25th of January some of us attended the Bull Congress in Camrose. In this judging seminar we learned a lot about how to judge different animals. There also was an extremely hard scavenger hunt.
On the 26th we had our second ride of the month. In my group we walked, trotted, and cantered. We also did a pattern. It was an awesome ride!
This was an awesome way to start the year 2014!
