Millet Beavers Raise $7,910.00

    On the evening of January 28th the Millet Beavers gathered to celebrate the success of their Popcorn Fund Raising and a Certificate of Commendation received by one of their leaders.
       The Millet Beavers raised $7,910.00 with the popcorn sales placing them 3rd in the Aspen Plains region, which runs north of Red Deer and the width of the province.
   All Beavers received a crest for their campfire blanket and Scout Bucks. Also received were gift certificates of differing amounts according to the total of their sales from Millet Apple Drugs, Wal – Mart, Cineplex, and full or partial membership accounts for next year.
       Participating in the sales were Beavers Owen Kinslow, Bradley Ariss, Kaylen Fercho, Wyatt Quinlan, Logan Dempster, Jacob Coates, Joseph Malloy and Dillan & Chase Woodworth, along with leaders Donna Mae Marechal and Glendelyn Park & family.
       Leader Donna Mae Marechal received a Certificate of Commendation from Scouts Canada and His Excellency, the right honorable David Johnston C.C., CMM, COM, Governor General & Patron Scout of Canada for her training in Fort McMurray for The Applied Beavers Woodbadge.
