Pipestone Flyer

Chris Scheetz , CISNFM’s morning personality along with a group of young suporters from Warburg School. Chris was at the school to seek support for Mothers Against Drunk Driving. MADD.

Thursday morning, May 16 Chris Scheetz , CISNFM’s morning personality, walked into Warburg with the entire school cheering him on.  At this time, Chris had already completed 180 km of his journey.  He had begun his walk in Spruce Grove on Monday with the plan to walk into Nisku on Friday afternoon. Through determination and many pairs of shoes Chris was successful raising more than $30,000 for a very worthwhile cause- MADD.

This awareness campaign stressed the severity of operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs, alcohol or using the cell phone in an unsafe manner.   With every online contract signed on the CISN FM Drive and Text campaign page, major sponsors donated $1.00 to MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)

Warburg School heard from Chris as he spoke to the assembly about the campaign and why he felt it to be so important. As support, several  high school students, staff members and parents walked along side him as he continued the next 20 km to Thorsby.
