Greetings from Rosebrier 4-H Beef Club.

We are so excited as our annual Achievement Day is just about here! The Wetaskiwin 4-H Beef Show and Sale is Monday May 15 at the Wetaskiwin Agricultural Grounds. This showcases the Rosebrier and Falun clubs. We work hard together all year to get ready for the big day.

This has been a very challenging year with this wet spring weather. We have worked hard all winter to get our projects ready for show. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, volunteers and parents. Without the support of our community we would not be able to do these amazing learning projects.

As always, we try to give back to our community. Last year each of us contributed a percentage of our proceeds to Fort McMurray SPCA to help animals in need due to the forest fires. So far this year we have donated over 400 lbs of food to the food bank, made up 76 Christmas shoeboxes and will be hard at work for Highway Clean Up on May 6. A portion of our sale proceeds this year will be for the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation.

Our club focuses on hard work, animal care, record keeping, public speaking, learning how to run a successful meeting and community service. Agriculture needs support more than ever to provide as much learning as possible in a changing world.

Thanks again! Please feel welcome and join us at our show and sale.
