On May 18, 2017 the Thorsby/Breton RCMP was notified of a break in at Burnt Birch Trailer Association overnight near Mulhurst Bay.

Upon attending the scene it was discovered that several trailers on the site were broken into by smashing the window out on the trailer. The trailers and cupboards were all rummaged through but it did not appear as though anything of significant value was stolen. Several bottles of alcohol and prescription medicine were noted to be missing.

It is believed that the break in occurred around 3 a.m.
