Alberta dream…you have to be asleep to believe it: writer
Politics sounds like poly (many), ticks (blood sucking parasites). NDP carbon tax logic: kilometers are shorter than miles. Saves gas, make sure all trips are taken in kilometers. Will the next multi-million dollar ads, “Conservative toilet paper. Use both sides.” The NDP has learned from the weather, it pays no attention to criticism. Their mottos include, “If I want your opinion, I’ll remove the duct tape.” Why remember quotes when you can just make them up? Never put off until tomorrow what you can ignore completely. How can you tell if voters are happy? Who cares? A good scapegoat is nearly as good a solution to the problem. False hope is better than no hope at all. The more you say, the less people remember.
The NDP were grinning like a Cheshire cat when the national media made such a big deal out of three words, “Lock her up.” But a short time later Sarah Hoffman was complaining to the media how such big deal could be made about three words, “Take the bus.”
Words probably frequently heard at the legislature now, “I don’t know what the problem is but I bet it’s pretty hard to pronounce.”
“Doing the job right gets the job done but continually doing it wrong gives you job security.”
“Just in case, let’s hire a consultant.”
Notley smirks all the time because she’s selling things that don’t work, just look at Ontario. When Notley sucks up to Trudeau, the NDP say “You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar.” But who wants a bunch of flies? You know what flies are attracted to…
The reason they call it the Alberta dream is because you have to be asleep to believe it. Will Notley’s memoirs be titled, “Better Living Through denial?” Her disclaimer, “Any connection between your reality and mine are purely coincidental.” Notley’s departing words will probably be, “ Chaos, panic and disorder, my work here is done!”
Everyone has the right to be stupid but the NDP are abusing the privilege. I don’t like political jokes, I’ve seen too many of them get elected. The political gene pool could use some chlorine. Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They must be changed regularly and for the same reason. NDP are like slinkies, not really good for anything but you can’t help smiling if you see them tumble down stairs. Talk is cheap, except if the NDP do it. A great way to make sure crime does not pay, let the NDP run it. What’s the difference between God and Notley? God doesn’t think he’s Notley!
The reason the Ten Commandments are not posted in the Legislature: you can’t post “Thou Shalt Not Steal” and “Thou Shalt Not Lie” in a building full of lobbyists, lawyers and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.
Groucho Mark said, “Politics is the art of looking for trouble, funding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedy.”
I used to think this government was a pain in the neck, but now my opinion of them is much lower.
