Clam Chowder

This is the time of year that we check out our soup recipes for they our go to in bad weather. This is a good basic recipe for clam chowder .

Ingredients

1 can of clams

1/2 cup chopped onions

1/2 cup chopped celery

2 cups diced potatoes

1/8 cup of butter

1/8 cup of flour

Half a pint of half-and-half cream

One cup of milk

A quarter teaspoon salt

Instructions

Drain juice from clams and poured juice over diced potatoes. Add enough water to cover potatoes. Add salt and cook potatoes until tender. Sauté onion and celery in butter. Add flour and cook a few seconds more. Add cream and milk mix well and add to cooked potatoes. Add in clams and For added flavour add crumbled crisp bacon.
