Salmon Chowder


1 – 15 oz can of salmon

3/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/2 cup chopped celery

3 T. Butter

2 Cups of raw diced potatoes

2 cups of chicken broth

1 tsp.salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp. Dill weed

1: 13 oz can evaporated milk or can be replaced with half and half

1: 14 oz can creamed corn.


Drain and flake salmon. Keep liquid. Sauté onion and celery in the butter. Add potatoes, chicken broth and seasonings. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add salmon liquid, milk and corn.

Bring back to a simmer then it’s ready to serve makes a very good lunch dish.
