Hamburger Stroganoff


1 1/2 lean ground hamburger

2 Tbsp. All – purpose flour

1 tsp. Salt

1/4 tsp. Pepper

1 cup chopped onion

10 oz. cream of chicken soup

1 tsp. Wine vinegar

2 Tbsp. Prepared orange juice

1 cup light sour cream

1 lb Fettuccine noodles

4 qts. Boiling water

1 Tbsp cooking oil

2 tsp. Salt.


Fry ground beef in nonstick frying pan until browned. Do not drain. Mix in flour, first amount of salt, pepper and onion. Stir in soup, vinegar and orange juice. Turn into 3 1/2 quart slow cooker. Cover. Cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Stir in sour cream. Heat through. Makes 5 cups.

Cook noodles in boiling water, cooking oil and second amount of salt in large uncovered Dutch open for 5 to 7 minutes until tender. Drain. Serve the stroganoff over noodles. Serves six.
