You will be a hit when you serve these. These are so easy to make and so tasty. They can be made ahead and frozen; a delicious snack for unexpected company.
1- 8 oz pkg cream cheese,softened
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup butter
At medium speed, beat cream cheese, flour and butter until smooth. Shape into a ball. Wrap and refrigerate for one hour.
1/2 lb mushrooms, minced
1 large onion minced
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp thyme leaves
1 egg beaten
2 Tbsp flour
In skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of butter and cook mushrooms and onions until tender.
Stir in sour cream, salt, thyme and 2 tablespoons of flour. Set aside.
Roll though 1/8 inch thick. Use a floured 2 3/4 round cookie cutter. Put teaspoon of mixture on the circle. Brush edges with egg. Fold over door and press together with fork. Prick tops. Brush with remaining egg. Bake 12 to 14 minutes at 450°F. This yields 3 1/2 dozen.
