Ingredients:
One pastry pie shell
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
Garlic salt (to taste)
1 -10 oz can tomato soup
3/4 tsp chili powder
1/2 cup taco sauce
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
1 medium tomato chopped
Instructions:
Bake the pastry shell at 450° for about 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350° until just cooked. In a 10 inch skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic until meat is brown. Drain off the fat. Stir in tomato soup and chilli powder. Stir together taco sauce and corn starch. Stir into skillet. Cook and stir until bubbling. Turn into pastry shell and bake for 15 minutes. Sprinkle cheese over pie. Let stand for five minutes. Then top with lettuce and tomato. Yield six servings.
