This recipe is another great way to use up some of those apples as they fall from your trees.
Ingredients:
12 cups quartered crab apples or apples (washed)
12 cups boiling water
Instructions:
Cover and let stand 9 hours or overnight. Strain and add:
1- 1 1/4 cups sugar, to taste
1 tsp ascorbic acid (keeps juice clear)
Bring to a boil and pour into jars. Will seal but can be processed for 5 minutes for added safety. Children just love it.
