EPCOR Share A Book Program

Pipestone Flyer

      Mrs. Klassen and her grade one students of New Sarepta Elementary School proudly show off the books and reading bags that they received from the EPCOR Share A Book Program. As part of the program, the students have enjoyed participating in a variety of teacher-planned reading and writing activities, based on the 2 storybooks that they each received;

      "Puckster's First Hockey Game" by Lorna Schultz Nicholson and "Jillian Jiggs and The Great Big Snow" by Phoebe Gilman. The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, in partnership with EPCOR, provide new books and book bags to Grade One students across Oil Country. Since the program began, more than 18,000 books have been distributed to over 9,000 students!
