MLA George Rogers presents a cheque for $40,366 in CIP lottery funds to Project Heroes to help cover exhibition costs.
Project Heroes is an exhibit celebrating the lives and bravery of Canadian men and women of the armed forces lost in Afghanistan. With MLA Rogers are local artists Shairl Honey, Susan Abma and Cindy Revell, who have painted portraits of each soldier for the exhibition. The exhibition launched in Edmonton in November, and is now touring B.C. until March, when it moves to Saskatchewan.
