Rural non-profit organization celebrates new exhibit at Millet Museum

SMILES Non-profit Society’s ‘Millet’s Mental Health Legacy’ exhibit officially open to the public

SMILES Non-profit Society celebrated the grand opening of a new exhibit, “Millet’s Mental Health Legacy”, at the Millet Museum Jan.14, 2023. The non-profit organization supports mental health initiatives in the community.

The exhibit at the Millet Museum features art and posters from the winners of the 2023 Distancing Diamonds initiative in Millet. These pieces of art were on display at distancing diamond spots in the town where community members could sit, enjoy and connect with one another.

To commemorate the opening the Leduc, Nisku and Wetaskiwin Regional Chamber, Town of Millet Councillor Mat Starky and MP for Edmonton-Wetaskiwin Mike Lake were in attendance.

SMILES states that they are excited to see the future of rural mental health and the Millet Mental Health Legacy.
