Pipestone Flyer
On Friday, October 10th, the County of Wetaskiwin’s Mulhurst & District Fire & Rescue Department was presented with a cheque for $15,000. The money was donated during the ‘2014 Larry Majeski Memorial Golf Tournament & BBQ’ held on August 23, 2014.
This was the second annual event put on by the ‘Friends and Family’ of the late Larry Majeski who died as a result of a watercraft incident on September 10, 2011.
The Mulhurst Firefighters are very appreciative of the donation and sincerely thank the organizers for all the time and effort that they put into making this event an outstanding success. Larry Majeski’s memory is definitely being honoured by his ‘Friends and Family’ and by all those who participate and contribute.
The Mulhurst & District Fire & Rescue Department will put these funds towards a new breathing air compressor to replace the existing unit which just recently became non-functional. This cheque will make a significant contribution towards achieving that goal.
