The Winfield Lions Club will be holding their upcoming Seniors Supper Jan. 25 after a few years off due to the pandemic.

“It’s been a very long time that they’ve been doing this to give back to our seniors in the community for all they’ve given us and our communities,” said Winfield Lions Club Treasurer Kathy Rooyakkers.

Rooyakkers said they have people come in from Rimbey, Bluffton and the surrounding communities of Breton, Alder Flats and Buck Lake.

“We’ve served up to over 200 people at times,” she said. We never know how many we’re going to have.”

All of the seniors who attend eat for free.

She said they are excited to be back holding the Seniors Supper again. They recently held their Christmas supper in December, which sold out within two weeks.

The supper will be held at the Winfield Community Hall. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and supper takes place at at 5:30 p.m.

They will also have entertainment for those interested in dancing.
