Women in Song Celebrate 10 Years

Pipestone Flyer

It was 10 short years ago that a dozen women gathered together in Wetaskiwin to share their love and passion for music. Ten years later 26 members of the "Women in Song Choir"  gathered in the United Church to practise in preparation for a ‘Celebration Concert’ in the Mission Church on May 15th, 2014 in the Mission Church in Wetaskiwin.

The Choir will be performing at the Provincial Music Festival in Edmonton, on May 8th after being recommended by the adjudicator at the local Wetaskiwin Music Festival. Audrey Dowler is the Director of the Choir, and is assisted by Co-Directors  Jackie Nichols, a local voice and piano teacher and Cheryl Deckert, the accompanist.
