The hot early autumn weather on September long weekend couldn’t keep the crowds away from the Lakedell Country Fair on Saturday Sept. 3. The packed Lakedell Agriculture Grounds were full of energy and family fun with activities including mutton bustin’, calf scrambles, donut eating contests and more.

The Samson Cree Nation Powwow Celebration, which ran Aug. 12th to the 14th at Bear Park in Maskwacis, had thousands of people come out from all over.
