The Stage is set for the finals in the Boston Pizza Cup, Curling Alberta's men's playdowns.
Daylan Vavrek and Evan Van Amsterdam faced each other on Sunday morning in the Boston Pizza Cup semi-finals, competing for a spot against Kevin Koe in the finals.
After nine ends in a tightly contested game, Van Amsterdam won the draw with a score of 5-1.
The final will be a chance at redemption for Van Amsterdam, after already losing to Koe in the Page 1/2 playoff 6-4 on Feb. 8 during the 6:30 p.m. draw which saw Koe earn his spot into the finals.
The Boston Pizza Cup finals will take place at the Stettler Recreation Centre at 3 p.m., and the winner of the draw will be crowned provincial champion and go on to compete as Team Alberta in the 2025 Montana's Brier, to be held Feb. 28 to March 9 in Kelowna, B.C.
