Spaghetti and Meat Sauce

1/4 cup salad oil

1/4 cup vinegar

1/2 cup sugar

3/4 cup ketchup

1/2 cup barbecue sauce

1/2 tsp basil

Mix first three ingredients, adding salt and pepper to taste. Add remains ingredients. Mix well and set sauce aside.

1 tsp oil

1 medium onion, chopped

1 red or green pepper, chopped

1 cup chopped celery

In frying pan heat oil add remaining ingredients and sauté for 5 minutes. Add to sauce and set aside. Boil spaghetti for 4to6 people according to package directions.

1 lb ground beef.

Sauté onion in frying pan then add ground beef, breaking beef into small pieces until

Nicely brown but not over cooked add basil , salt and pepper. Stir well. Add sauce to meat and simmer gently fo five to ten minutes. Arrange spaghetti on a large platter hollow out center for meat sauce. Delicious served with a salad.
