Albertans are feeling the economic toll that the coronavirus has caused the province and local businesses are struggling to keep afloat during this unprecedented time.

Super Value Liquor in Wetaskiwin, Alta. is doing their best to support local businesses by encouraging customers to “support Alberta booze,” says owner Sunny Bhullar.

Alberta has many breweries and distilleries across the province that you can support through purchases at your local liquor store. From Rig Hand Distillery in Nisku to Blindman Brewing in Lacombe, there are plenty of Alberta liquor companies surrounding the community.

Bhullar’s Super Value Liquor is setting up a special on Alberta spirits and brews in the wake of COVID-19. You will be able to shop for Alberta made liquor and labels will be present to show just where in Alberta it is made. Bhullar designed this Alberta promotion as a way to encourage customers who are stocking up for quarantine to also support Albertan brands.

Bhullar says, “we are trying to convey the message that it is a time for Albertans to stick together.”
