The CP Holiday Train returned to Wetaskiwin Thursday Dec. 8, 2022, on its cross-country tour raising money and donations for local food banks across Canada.

Before performances from Canadian singer-songwriter Aysanabee and Country artist Tenille Townes, Mayor Tyler Gandam and representatives from the Wetaskiwin Salvation Army accepted a check for $4,000 from the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train for the local food bank.

Wetaskiwinites gathered to watch the light show and musical acts as Santa Claus danced among the crowd on the fair-weather night.

Donations for the food bank continued to be collected throughout and after the performance.
