The Wetaskiwin and County Sports Hall of Fame held their 2025 Induction Dinner on April 5 at the Best Western Wayside Inn Banquet Room in Wetaskiwin.
The 2025 inductees were:
- Dan Buskas as a Builder for his 33-year dedication to officiating both hockey and baseball;
- Ken Mastel as an Athlete/Builder for his competitive volleyball career at Medicine Hat College and the University of Calgary as well as his over 40 years of coaching volleyball in our community;
- Fritz Kirstein as an athlete for his achievements in golf, curling and soccer in the 1920s and 1930s;
- Wayne Vanouck as an athlete for his career in drag racing and tractor pull and,
- The 1996 Doane Raymond Rockies Midget Baseball team, the first any age group.
