Wetaskiwin A&W participated in A&W Canada’s 16th annual Burgers to Beat MS fundraiser.
On August 22, $2 dollars from every Teen Burger sold went to the MS Society of Canada. Since 2008, the popular Canadian burger joint has been fundraising for MS Canada, an organization that funds research and provides services to Canadians with multiple sclerosis.
The Wetaskiwin A&W went above and beyond in their fundraising efforts. They also had gift baskets for sale, a silent auction, a 50/50 draw, a bake sale, guessing games and more. They’ve also been offering visitors a chance to round up their bill as a donation for several months.
“We’ve been doing it ever since A&W started donating to the MS society,” said Colleen Kruger, manager at the Wetaskiwin A&W.
This total amount raised by Wetaskiwin A&W was not available at press time.
“We are always thankful to everyone who comes out and purchases a Teen burger, takes part in any of our in-store events or rounds up their order,” said Kruger. “It was another great year.”
