The County of Wetaskiwin has officially completed upgrades to Range Road 11 North (Norris Beach).

The upgrades included a bridge replacement and grade, base, and pave of 1.18 km of roadway. This stretch ran from Highway 13 north to the entrance of Crystal Springs.

“The upgrades to Range Road 11 North have been a long time coming,” says County of Wetaskiwin Reeve Josh Bishop.

“The County is pleased we were able to work with our neighbouring municipalities in order to upgrade this important piece of infrastructure for our residents and visitors to Pigeon Lake.”

The project cost a total of $2.1 million and was funded by the County of Wetaskiwin, Summer Villages of Crystal Springs and Norris Beach, and provincial grants.

“The realization of this fantastic road, bridge, and landscaping is a testament to the value of inter-municipal trust, collaboration, and partnership,” states the Summer Villages of Crystal Springs and Norris Beach.
