Two of the four suspects in a carjacking in Ponoka earlier this spring have a court date on July 19.
Matthew Moonias, 22, and Donovan Kyle Rain, 32, are scheduled to speak to the court at the Ponoka Court of Justice.
The pair are facing seven counts of robbery.
On May 9, about around 5 a.m., the Ponoka RCMP received a report that a vehicle had been stolen at gunpoint on outside of a residence on 55 St.
The vehicle was spotted in Samson Cree Nation later that day.
The vehicle was disabled on Township Road 432 and Range Road 241 and all four occupants were arrested.
Rain, a resident of Samson Cree Nation, was originally charged with four weapons offences, dangerous driving, two counts of failing to comply with a release order, possession of stolen property under $5,000, and obstructing a police officer.
Moonias, a resident of Louise Bull First Nation, was charged with five weapons offences and failure to comply with a probation order.
The charges against the two other occupants of the vehicle were withdrawn on June 11.
