In a social media post at about 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, the Millet Fire Department advised all their units were on scene following a three-vehicle collision including serious injury.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Hwy 2A and Hwy 616 East, about five kilometres north of Millet.
"The highway is fully reopened, however very slippery with mostly black ice conditions," stated the post.
"Melting snow thanks to the bright sun, combined with a slight breeze, is putting a noticeable layer of ice on area highways."
Yesterday afternoon and into the evening, Jan. 21, RCMP advised road conditions were "extremely bad" in Leduc, Wetaskiwin, Camrose County, Maskwacis and Ponoka after a blowing snow advisory for the region was issued by Environment Canada.
"Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada," stated the RCMP release.
