For the third year Simone Bredlow and Melissa Berg hosted the Ladies Golf Scramble at the Montgomery Glen Golf Course in Wetaskiwin, Alta. The Sept.13, 2020 scramble saw a total of 44 ladies participate and raised a total of $3,355.

Bredlow says that this year they did not reach out to companies for donations, but that didn’t stop the amount of generous donations that came in from the community for their cause.

The event donates to the charity, Education Plus Fund, which is run through the Wetaskiwin Public School district. The money goes towards helping kids afford extra school activities, that they may have not been able to, whether it be funding them to participate on a sports team, field trip fees, art activities, etc.

Bredlow says that this is her favorite charity to be able to give back to, as giving locally is important to her in addition to keeping activities and the local Wetaskiwin community thriving.
