Leduc RMCP are encouraging motorists to stay aware and be safe on roadways this Thanksgiving as the amount of people travelling increases.

The Leduc Integrated Traffic Unit (ITU) is reminding everyone on the road to consciously consider safety whenever they get into a vehicle. Some key safety measures to remember include:

• Remember to buckle your seatbelt and ensure children are properly restrained according to their age and size in the vehicle;

• Never drink, or consume marijuana and drive;

• Pay attention to the road and refrain from aggressive driving and distracted driving at all times.

The RCMP are also reminding road users to pull over or have your passenger call 911 to report an impaired driver.
