Leduc RCMP investigating single vehicle collision

The driver was transported by STARS air ambulance to the University of Alberta hospital.

Leduc, Alta. – On Sunday, May 24, 2020, at approximately 4:25 am, the Leduc RCMP and Leduc Fire Services responded to a single vehicle collision on Highway 39 at the intersection of Deer Valley Drive, where the vehicle had collided with a traffic light pole.

The driver sustained injuries as a result and was transported by STARS air ambulance to the University of Alberta hospital. No one else was involved in the collision.

Highway 39 was closed to vehicle traffic while emergency crews worked to remove the driver from the damaged vehicle.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.
