Leduc RCMP lay charges in road rage incident in Leduc County

A collision and confrontation between the drivers took place at the traffic circle.

Leduc RCMP responded to a 911 call of a road rage incident with the assistance of the Devon RCMP at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Thursday June 3, 2021.

The incident which took place in the area of Highway 60 and Highway 39 and occurred after two west bound travelling vehicles on Highway 39 stopped at the traffic circle.

A collision between both vehicles as well as confrontation between the drivers took place at the traffic circle. A TikTok video of the incident was posted to the social media app and has had thousands of views across multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, through shares since Thursday.

A 45-year-old male and a 59-year-old male have both been charged under the Traffic Safety Act and are scheduled to appear in Leduc Provincial Court at a later date. Both are facing charges of Careless Driving.
