Leduc RCMP request public assistance to identify robbery suspect

Leduc RCMP responded to an armed robbery in a 4 Street and 11 Ave area parking lot in Nisku, Alta., on Feb.5, 2022 at approximately 7:03 a.m.

Leduc RCMP responded to an armed robbery in a 4 Street and 11 Ave area parking lot in Nisku, Alta., on Feb.5, 2022 at approximately 7:03 a.m.

RCMP say that the male victim parked his vehicle in the lot and was approached by a lone male suspect who allegedly a weapon and demanded money.

The victim refused to provide any money and ran into a nearby business. He was not physically injured.

The suspect attempted to steal the victim’s vehicle but was unsuccessful and he fled on foot east-bound through the parking lot. Leduc RCMP responded immediately to the scene and began patrols but were unable to locate the suspect.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect was seen entering the passenger side of a silver pickup truck in the area.

The suspect is described as:

• Approximately six-feet tall;

• Medium build;

• Dark complexion;

• Wearing black hoodie, black sweatpants, running shoes and a nose ring.
