Leduc RCMP are seeking information from the public in relation to a number of flags that were stolen in the City of Leduc.

Leduc RCMP received a complaint on Sept. 22, 2021 that six flags had been stolen from various locations around Leduc, including the City of Leduc Operations Building, Lede Park and Fred John’s Park by the Legion airplane.

The two large flags stolen from Fred John’s Park were a provincial and city flag measuring nine feet-by-18 feet with an approximate value of $1,800.

RCMP say minor damage was done to the locking mechanisms that hold the flags. It is believed that the thefts occurred within the past three days.

Leduc RCMP are asking that anyone who may have been in these areas and have information about the thefts contact the Leduc RCMP at 780-980-7267.
