The Manluk Centre: Wetaskiwin Regional Aquatics and Fitness is slated to re-open with restrictions on March 29, 2021.

All bookings must be made online and in advance for access to the facility and drop-in visits are still not permitted with the current COVID-19 restrictions. Available programming will also be limited due to the restrictions.

“We know that Wetaskiwinites are excited to get our lives back to normal, and this is one step in that direction,” stated Wetaskiwin City Manager Sue Howard. “The Manluk Centre staff miss seeing everyone and are looking forward to welcoming you all back as restrictions continue to lift. Stay tuned—we will ensure our facilities re-open as quickly as restrictions allow.”

Fitness Centre bookings must be low intensity workouts and a maximum of 10 patrons will be able to use the fitness centre at one time. Treadmills, elliptical and spin bikes will be unavailable for use.

Families from the same household can make private pool or fitness centre bookings for one hour for $45 an hour. These bookings will be able to have a maximum of 10 people.

These bookings are also reserved for City of Wetaskiwin and County of Wetaskiwin residents only.

The Aquatic Centre will also have availability for individuals to book a spot for water walking, a free-flow activity in the shallow areas of the pool with a Manluk Centre coach. This activity will have a maximum of nine participants.

Lastly, the Manluk Centre will also be available for one hour-long school bookings for curriculum-bases activities.

As per current health restrictions wearing a mask will be required at all times when in the Manluk Centre with the exception being during the household or school bookings.
