Maskwacis RCMP request public assistance in serious hit and run collision

Maskwacis RCMP are continuing to investigate a hit and run collision involving a pedestrian and a minivan that took place at Four Mile Road, located on Samson Cree Nation. At approximately 9:00 p.m. on Monday Dec. 28, 2020 Maskwacis RCMP were called to investigate the accident scene.

RCMP learned that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after striking the victim.

The suspect vehicle has been described as a dark coloured minivan and Police believe there may be front end damage to the vehicle.

The 27-year-old female victim, whose identity will not be released by police during the investigation, was treated by Maskwacis EMS at the scene and transported to an area hospital via STARS Ambulance.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for this hit and run as well as locating the suspect vehicle.
