Members of the Wetaskiwin Royal Canadian Legion pin the poppy on the Mayor

Members of the Wetaskiwin Royal Canadian Legion visited Wetaskiwin City Hall on Monday Oct. 25, 2021 to pin the poppy on the Mayor.

Legion Branch President Ken Schubert pinned a poppy on Mayor Tyler Gandam Monday morning as the official opening of the annual poppy campaign.

Wetaskiwin City Council will have their first official council meeting since the election this afternoon with council being sworn in. Attendance to the swearing in is available via livestream on the City of Wetaskiwin’s social media platforms.
