New traffic controls proposed by the County of Wetaskiwin

New yield and stop signs were approved for multiple intersections throughout the County.

County of Wetaskiwin Council amended Bylaw No. 2018/35 in their regular July 14 County Council meeting. Bylaw No. 2018/35 is a bylaw in the County of Wetaskiwin created for the purpose of establishing the authority for locating Traffic Control Devices on Highways under the direction, control and management of the County of Wetaskiwin.

County Council approved the amendments to the bylaw to add a new yield signs to multiple rural intersections and stop signs throughout the County.

These intersections include:

RGE 260:

1. RGE RD 260 and TWP RD 453A: install YIELD sign at T-intersection for south bound traffic;

2. RGE RD 260 and TWP RD 462A: install YIELD sign at T-intersection for west bound traffic;

3. RGE RD 260 and TWP RD 464: install STOP sign at intersection for west bound traffic;

4. RGE RD 260 and TWP RD 470: install YIELD sign at T-intersection for south bound traffic;

5. RGE RD 260 and TWP RD 471: install YIELD signs at intersection for north and south bound traffic;

6. RGE RD 260 and TWP RD 473: install YIELD sign at intersection for south bound traffic;

7. RGE RD 260 and TWP RD 474: install YIELD sign at intersection for east bound traffic.

RGE 261:

1. RGE RD 261 and TWP RD 451: install YIELD signs at intersection for east and west bound traffic;

2. RGE RD 261 and TWP RD 460: install YIELD sign at T-intersection for east bound traffic;

3. RGE RD 261 and TWP RD 463: install YIELD sign at T-intersection for east bound traffic;

4. RGE RD 261 and TWP RD 464: install YIELD sign at intersection for west bound traffic;

5. RGE RD 261 and TWP RD 470: install YIELD signs at intersection for north and south bound traffic;

6. RGE RD 261 and TWP RD 471: install YIELD sign at intersection for west bound traffic;

7. RGE RD 261 and TWP RD 480: install YIELD sign at intersection for north bound traffic.

RGE 262:

1. RGE RD 262 and TWP RD 452: install YIELD signs at intersection for north and south bound traffic;

2. RGE RD 262 and TWP RD 454: install YIELD sign at intersection for west bound traffic;

3. RGE RD 262 and TWP RD 463A: install YIELD sign at intersection for west bound traffic;

4. RGE RD 262 and TWP RD 464: install YIELD signs at intersection for east and west bound traffic;

5. RGE RD 262 and TWP RD 470: install YIELD sign at T-intersection for north bound traffic;

6. RGE RD 262 and TWP RD 470: install YIELD sign at T-intersection for south bound traffic;

7. RGE RD 262 and TWP RD 473: install YIELD sign at intersection for south bound traffic;

8. RGE RD 262 and TWP RD 474: install STOP sign at intersection for west bound traffic;

9. RGE RD 262 and TWP RD 474: remove STOP sign for north bound traffic; 10. RGE RD 262 and TWP RD 480: install YIELD sign at intersection for north bound traffic.

RGE 264:

1. RGE RD 264 and TWP RD 452: install YIELD signs at intersection for east and west bound traffic;

2. RGE RD 264 and TWP RD 454: install YIELD signs at intersection for east and west bound traffic;

3. RGE RD 264 and TWP RD 460: install STOP sign at intersection for south bound traffic;

4. RGE RD 264 and TWP RD 465: install STOP sign at T-intersection for east bound traffic;

5. RGE RD 264 and TWP RD 470: install YIELD sign at T-intersection for north bound traffic;

6. RGE RD 264 and TWP RD 472: install YIELD signs at intersection for north and south.

RGE 265:

1. RGE RD 265 and TWP RD 452: install YIELD signs at intersection for east and west bound traffic;

2. RGE RD 265 and TWP RD 454: install YIELD signs at intersection for east and west bound traffic;

3. RGE RD 265 and TWP RD 464: install YIELD signs at intersection for east and west bound traffic;

4. RGE RD 265 and TWP RD 465: install STOP sign at intersection for east bound traffic;

5. RGE RD 265 and TWP RD 470: install YIELD sign at intersection for north bound traffic;

6. RGE RD 265 and TWP RD 472: install YIELD signs at intersection for north and south bound traffic

7. RGE RD 265 and TWP RD 472A: install STOP sign at intersection for east bound traffic;
