On June 4, at 8:18 a.m., Maskwacis RCMP received a report of individuals with a firearm driving around Louis Bull First Nation.
While police responded to the high risk call, local schools were placed in a hold and secure status.
Extensive patrols were made and the vehicle was not located.
On June 5, after continued investigation, RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Louis Bull First Nation. As a result of the search, RCMP located and seized a rifle, ammunition and an energy weapon.
Charges have yet to be laid and RCMP are continuing their investigation into the incident.
