On April 2, at 8:34 p.m., Leduc RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 21 at Township 502 in Leduc County. Upon arrival, both occupants of one of the vehicles, a Kia Forte, were deceased.
The driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, a Hyundai Santa Fe, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
RCMP remained on scene for several hours investigating.
The deceased in the Kia have been identified as a 33-year-old resident of North Battleford Sask. and a 73-year-old resident of Camrose.
Leduc RCMP are currently conducting an investigation of impaired driving causing death on the Hyundai driver.
"Alberta RCMP would like to give our sincere condolences to the families, friends and loved ones of these individuals," stated the release.
