The Pipestone Flyer is pleased to announce the return of Wetaskiwin’s Best of Wetaskiwin Readers’ Choice Awards!

Here is your chance to show your support for the outstanding services and businesses that make Wetaskiwin a terrific place to live and to show your support for local businesses, eateries, organizations and services.

When you submit a business or service for a category you will be entered to win a $300 Safeway gift card. You can also vote daily to show support for your favourite business or vendor!

Voting began August 26, 2021 and a special print on October 28, 201 will feature the category winners for the Best of Wetaskiwin Readers’ Choice Awards 2021. The closing date for the contest is September 30, 2021.

There are plenty of categories to vote for including Favourite Place for a First Date, Best Hidden Gem, Best Hair Salon and Best Customer Service among many others.

“We are really excited about our Best of Wetaskiwin section,” says Christina Komives, Publisher of the Pipestone Flyer. “The Best of Wetaskiwin contest invites readers of our paper and website to honour the businesses and amenities that make Wetaskiwin such a great place to live. Area residents are proud of our community and the section that results from this contest highlights that pride.”

Other categories in contention range from Best Place to Get Breakfast, Best Weekday Lunch, and Best Cup of Coffee, to Favourite Place to Walk and Favourite Winter Activity.

“This is a great opportunity to support our local businesses. Our community is defined by our small business,” says Komives.

“I hope the results of this contest also give readers information about some of the unique things our great businesses have to offer. Hopefully it will encourage people to shop at a business that they may not have known much about previously.”
