This will be the 17th induction ceremony in the Wetaskiwin and County Sports Hall of Fame’s history.
The sports hall of fame was established in 2006 and to date has inducted 99 athletes, builders and teams. If you actually counted all of the members of teams it would be over 500 individuals.
The Wetaskiwin and County Sports Hall of Fame is helping to preserve Wetaskiwin’s sporting history for future generations. Plaques of those who have been inducted since 2006 are proudly displayed in the gathering area of the Co-Op Place Arenas.
Information and pictures of each of the previous inductees can be found at www.wetaskiwinsportsfame.com.
The 2025 Induction Dinner will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the Best Western Wayside Inn Banquet Room in Wetaskiwin.
Everyone is welcome and banquet tickets are available for purchase at the Wetaskiwin and District Heritage Museum until March 29.
