City of Wetaskiwin Mayor Tyler Gandam has been acclaimed to the Alberta Municipalities’ Board of Directors as Vice President for cities up to 500,000. Gandam will be serving a one-year term.
Gandam was acclaimed at the Alberta Municipalities’ Annual General Meeting that was held Friday November 19 at the Edmonton Convention Centre.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue serving and representing cities up to 500,000 as a Director, and now as Vice President,” stated Gandam.
“This opportunity helps to raise the profile of our City, as well as assist in further developing relationships with the provincial government.”
St. Albert Mayor Cathy Heron was elected as President of Alberta Municipalities and Gandam ran for election as her Vice President. When Heron won the election for President, Gandam was acclaimed to the Vice President position.
