RCMP looking for trailer stolen carrying wrapped lumber. Submitted/ Wetaskiwin RCMP

Wetaskiwin RCMP investigate theft of semi trailers carrying lumber

Two semi trailers hauling lumber were stolen in Wetaskiwin Oct. 16, 2021.

Wetaskiwin RCMP received a report on Oct. 16, 2021 that two semi trailers were stolen overnight.

The trailers were parked at the Wetaskiwin Co-op Card lock and had a load of lumber on it.

RCMP recovered one trailer in the County of Wetaskiwin but the lumber was missing. The remaining missing trailer is a 2016 Doepker Low Runner trailer with Alberta Licence Plate 4GR976.

At the time of the theft, the lumber was wrapped in white plastic and had “Millar Western” written on it. The lumber should also be stamped with Millar Western.

The load of the trailer included a total of 20 package, in which there was the following lumber:

• 1 pack of 294 piece- two-by-four, eight-inches;

• 2 pack of 294 piece- two-by-four, 10-inches;

• 5 pack of 294 piece- two-by-four, 12-inches;

• 4 pack of 294 piece- two-by-four, 14-inches;

• 8 pack of 294 piece- two-by-four, 16-inches.
